Maria S. Guoth, MD, FACE
Director of Research and Clinical Studies
Dr. Guoth has been a Director of Medical Cybernetics, Inc. since 1998. She is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Yale University School of Medicine, and a practicing Endocrinology Consultant, as Attending Physician at the Yale New Haven Hospital, the West Haven VA Medical Center and Bridgeport Hospital. She, previously, was an Assistant Professor of Medicine, in the 1st Department of Medicine, Semmelweis University Medical School, Budapest, Hungary.
Dr. Guoth's education, training and experience includes Fellowships in Endocrinology at Yale University School of Medicine, and the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine. She was Chief Medical Resident at LaGuardia Hospital / Cornell University Medical College, after her Medical Residency there. Her previous, European Internship and Medicine Residency was at the 1st Department of Medicine, Semmelweis University Medical School. She has also been a Visiting Scholar at Hammersmith Hospital, London.
A Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology, and a member of the American College of Physicians, the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists, The Endocrine Society, the American Diabetes Association and the American Medical Association, Dr. Guoth is a Graduate of Semmelweis University Medical School and Radnoti Teacher Training School, Budapest, Hungary. She has earned certifications from the Hungarian Specialty Board Examination of Internal Medicine, the American Board of Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism, the American Board of Internal Medicine and the National Board of Medical Examiners, as well as credentials in Nuclear and Ultrasound Thyroidology. Dr. Guoth is the recipient of numerous honors and awards, including the Women in Endocrinology Award from The Endocrine Society; the Young Investigator Award of the American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists; the Ministerial Prize from the Hungarian Minister of Health; the University Award of Semmelweis University Medical School; the First prize in Medicine for the Rectorial Contest Semmelweis University Medical School;and the First prize in the Biophisics Rectorial Contest at Semmelweis University Medical School. Her clinical skills have been recognized with the Patient Care Service Award for Outstanding Achievement in Patient Teaching and Humanism, Bridgeport Hospital, and the Best Teacher Award, LaGuardia Hospital Medicine Residency.
